Literature Presentations and Open Discussions Held at the Academy

An event aimed at strengthening master’s students’ reading culture, independent thinking, and communication and public speaking skills was organized at the Academy of Public Policy and Administration.

During the event, participants engaged with selected works of Uzbek and world fiction, historical and philosophical literature and delivered slide presentations on their chosen texts. The discussions addressed the author’s perspective, the thematic focus of the works, their significance for personal and societal development, and their relevance in the contemporary context.

In the course of open discussions, participants demonstrated the ability to articulate reasoned arguments, respect diverse viewpoints, and draw conclusions based on analysis. Particular attention was given to the development of public speaking skills and effective audience engagement.

The event also included a discussion of the objectives set forth in Presidential Resolution No. “On measures to develop reading culture and increase interest in books among the population.” The role of fostering a reading environment in strengthening intellectual and spiritual development was emphasized.
