The First Session of the Youth Parliament’s New Composition Was Held

On May 28, the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan held its first session with the newly formed membership.

At the beginning of the session, Jasur Salikhov, Rector of the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a welcoming speech. He wished success and great achievements to the 150 members of the Youth Parliament, expressing confidence in their vital role in supporting the country's large-scale reforms.

In his address, he emphasized that the Academy stands ready to provide comprehensive support in enhancing the political and legal awareness of young people, enriching their knowledge and practical competencies. He noted that the doors of the Academy are always open to the youth who aspire to grow and contribute to positive change.

The Youth Parliament under the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a unique platform dedicated to protecting the interests of young people, supporting their initiatives, and expanding their engagement in the political and social life of the country.

Its core mission is to empower young people and increase their involvement in the socio-economic development of the nation.

Eligible members of the Youth Parliament are citizens of Uzbekistan aged between 18 and 30 who possess knowledge in public administration, exhibit leadership qualities, and have the ability to inspire their peers.
