Honoring the memory of those who have passed away and recognizing their services to the people and the Motherland is a noble quality inherent in our nation.
At various times in our Academy, Rustam Sobirovich Qosimov served as Head of the Department of International Economic Relations, Dean of Faculty, and Rector. He dedicated his entire life to the field of education and was a devoted and selfless person.
Today, the Academy solemnly celebrated the 70th anniversary of the esteemed mentor. The event was attended by state and public figures, his disciples and relatives, as well as the Academy’s faculty and staff. With deep respect, participants honored the bright memory of Rustam Sobirovich.
As emphasized during the event, Rustam Sobirovich worked effectively in highly responsible positions — as First Deputy State Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adviser to the President on Cooperation with Public and Religious Organizations, as well as Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. His activity deserves comprehensive study and the wide promotion of his rich life and professional experience.
For his contribution to educating the younger generation in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland, and in connection with his 70th anniversary, Rustam Sobirovich was awarded the Order “For Selfless Service.” This high award became a worthy recognition of his service to the state and society.
His meaningful life and professional activity will forever remain a true school of example for the youth.
