Samarkand is currently hosting the United Nations Public Service Forum, dedicated to public administration, digital transformation, and the delivery of effective public services.
The Forum brings together ministers, heads of government agencies, representatives of international and regional organizations, academics, civil society representatives, and innovation experts from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
Since its inception in 2003, the Forum has been hosted by countries such as the United States, Austria, Spain, Tanzania, Bahrain, Morocco, Colombia, Azerbaijan (2019), and the Republic of Korea (2024).
The event will culminate in the adoption of the Samarkand Ministerial Declaration, aimed at strengthening international cooperation, promoting knowledge exchange—particularly among developing countries—and encouraging equal access to public services.
