The Academy of Public Policy and Administration took part in the Uzbek–Chinese scientific symposium entitled “Global Transformation and Public Governance,” organized by the Central Asian International Institute (CAII) and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) within the framework of the official visit to Uzbekistan by the President of CASS, Mr. Gao Xiang.

The symposium was aimed at deepening international scholarly and analytical dialogue in the field of public governance, undertaking a systematic analysis of contemporary governance models, and shaping promising joint initiatives in science and education. The event was recognised as an important academic platform contributing to the substantive strengthening of the institutional dimension of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.

In his address, J. Salikhov, Rector of the Academy, emphasised that, amid ongoing global transformation, the effectiveness of public administration is determined прежде всего by the quality of human capital, the capacity for strategic thinking, and institutional resilience. He further noted that Uzbekistan and China are united by a people-centred approach that places human interests at the core of state policy.

The dialogue fostered during the symposium is expected to elevate bilateral cooperation between the two countries in public administration, academic research, and the training of senior leadership personnel to a qualitatively new level.
