The initiative is being implemented in line with Presidential Decree No. PF-189 and is designed to systematically enhance artificial intelligence capabilities among deputy heads responsible for digitalisation, relevant specialists, as well as deputy khokims of districts and cities.

At the initial stage, 86 participants — deputy khokims from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm and Bukhara regions — took part in the programme. The curriculum combines theoretical instruction with practical training and covers the application of artificial intelligence technologies, digital governance tools, data analytics, and contemporary approaches to decision-making.

As part of the programme, a study visit to the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan was organised, allowing participants to familiarise themselves with ongoing flagship projects in the sector and ensuring practical application of acquired knowledge.

Such programmes contribute to the broader integration of digital and AI technologies into public administration, enhance the efficiency of governance processes, and promote data-driven decision-making.

Earlier, it was reported that the project, aimed at strengthening knowledge and skills in the field of information technology, is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Management Efficiency Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Within the first four phases of the programme, 208 district and city khokims, as well as 15 heads of personnel groups, have completed the training.
