On July 20, 2026, the solemn opening ceremony of the international summer school, organized in cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Fudan University of the People's Republic of China (School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University), took place.

Opening the event, Rector of the Academy Jasur Salikhov emphasized that strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and China are developing consistently, and noted that this international event serves to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of public administration and to strengthen academic cooperation.

Professor Su Changxe from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University congratulated the participants and dwelt on the significance of the program in further developing cooperation between the educational organizations of the two countries.

During the opening ceremony of the event, a lecture titled "China's Experience in Targeted Poverty Alleviation" was delivered by Professor Wang Xiaolin. The lecture comprehensively highlighted the reforms implemented to reduce poverty in the country, targeted social policy mechanisms, and the results achieved.

Additionally, Professor Gu Limei delivered a lecture on "Innovative Practices of Urban Governance in China Based on Artificial Intelligence." It addressed the introduction of digital technology and artificial intelligence opportunities into the state and urban governance systems, "smart city" solutions, and the effectiveness of modern management models.

Furthermore, the participants visited the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and discovered the rich historical and cultural heritage of our country.

🗓 Within the framework of the international summer school, which takes place from July 18 to 26, a series of lectures and practical sessions on public administration, international relations, digital transformation, and sustainable development are planned to be held.
