The Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the delegation of Nagoya University, one of Japan’s top ten higher education institutions, led by Professor Yamauchi Akira.
The discussions centered on expanding joint educational, professional development, and research programs designed for civil servants and academic scholars.
During the visit, professors from Nagoya University delivered a presentation for representatives of the Institute for Research of the Youth Problems and Training Prospective Personnel, introducing the ASCI PhD Program — a three-year international doctoral initiative that enables participants to pursue an academic degree while continuing their professional careers.
The delegation also met with Rector Jasur Salikhov and familiarized themselves with the ongoing transformational processes at the Academy. The two sides agreed to:
– develop joint academic programs and training courses;
– establish exchange initiatives for professors, students, and researchers;
– implement short-term training and capacity-building programs;
– and prepare for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as the next step in their cooperation.
Professor Yamauchi Akira commended the reforms being carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and expressed Nagoya University’s strong commitment to further strengthening its partnership with the Academy of Public Policy and Administration.
