Issues of Improving the Quality of Scientific Research and Achieving International Recognition Discussed at the Academy

At the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the School of Postgraduate Education and Research organized a practical seminar on the topic “SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) Platform and Its Opportunities for Use” for researchers, faculty members, staff, and teachers of the Academy’s regional branches.

This event became a logical continuation of the systematic work being carried out at the Academy to increase the effectiveness of research activities, strengthen researchers’ skills in working with international scientific databases, and support the publication of scientific articles in globally recognized high-impact journals.

During the seminar, participants were provided with detailed information on the importance of the SJR platform in selecting journals indexed in prestigious international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science, the criteria for determining journal quartile rankings (Q1–Q4), as well as methods of protection against predatory (fake or unreliable) journals.
