Interview stage of the “El-yurt umidi” scholarship selection has started at the Academy

Today, July 9, the interview stage of the 1st Open Scholarship Competition of the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation for 2025 has officially begun at the Academy. The process will continue until July 28.

The interviews aim to assess candidates’ professional goals, their plans to apply the knowledge and experience gained abroad upon return to Uzbekistan, intellectual capacity, and understanding of socio-political processes.

A total of 782 candidates are participating in this stage. The interviews are conducted in the state language by a commission consisting of experts and representatives of civil society institutions. Candidates' motivational essays are also evaluated separately.

For reference: Between 2021 and 2025, nearly 1,300 young specialists have been sent to leading international universities through the Foundation. For the 2025–2026 academic year, 450 new scholarships are planned to be allocated.
