“Heirs of Mirzo Ulugbek” Competition: Honoring the Most Deserving

The annual “Heirs of Mirzo Ulugbek” national competition in Uzbekistan is a vital initiative aimed at identifying talented young individuals, fostering their scientific and technical potential, and encouraging their interest in research and innovation.

Today, the national stage of the competition was held at the Tashkent State University of Economics. The event was attended by senior representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Youth Affairs Agency and the Academy of Public Policy and  Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The ceremony was officially opened by Akademik Oqil Salimov, Chairman of the “Ulugbek” Foundation. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the invaluable role such competitions play in nurturing scientific curiosity among the youth.

Oqil Umrzoqovich Salimov is an Honored Scientist of Uzbekistan, an Academician of the Uzbekistan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, a Doctor of Technical Sciences, and a Professor. His outstanding contributions to science and education have been recognized at the highest levels, including being awarded the “Order of Labor Glory”. Many of the professionals he has mentored are now making meaningful contributions to the nation’s development.

The awards ceremony concluded with a speech by Jasur Salikhov, Rector of the Academy. In his address, he congratulated the winners, expressed his pride in their achievements, and wished them continued success in their future endeavors.
