On 8–12 September 2025, Associate Professor of the Academy Davron Bekchanov and Senior Research Fellow Temur Muminov took part in the international seminar-training organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “ESGCA – Environmental, Social and Governance Challenges in Central Asia”, held in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Astana.
The seminar was hosted by the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is the country’s leading higher education institution for the training and professional development of civil servants, as well as the advancement of scientific research activities.
Within the program, lectures were delivered on topics such as “Carbon Footprint, Water and Waste Management” and “ESG and the Future of University Education.” In addition, participants of the seminar discussed the development of joint recommendations and the practical implementation of environmental and social principles in public administration.
The event brought together 26 scholars, civil servants, and experts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Slovakia, Romania, and Italy. This dialogue contributed to strengthening regional cooperation in the fields of sustainable development, green economy, and social responsibility.
At the closing ceremony, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azamat Zholmanov emphasized that the exchange of experience within the framework of this project marks a new stage in the training of civil servants and enhances the potential of regional cooperation.
Following the results of the seminar-training, the Academy identified priority tasks, including the integration of courses on green economy and sustainable development into academic programs, the promotion of national green brands, as well as the expansion of joint scientific and practical initiatives with international partners.
