Developing Analytical Capacity and Strategic Thinking in Public Administration

A special seminar-training for heads of information-analytical and strategic development departments of state administration bodies was held at the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the opening ceremony, representatives of the Presidential Administration noted that this initiative represents a new methodological stage in the evolution of public administration. They emphasized that the program, implemented as part of the effective execution of the Presidential Decree PF–201 (ҳавола қўйилади УКАЗ устига https://www.lex.uz/docs/7806403) is aimed at modernizing the system of strategic management and enhancing analytical capabilities across government institutions.

Rector of the Academy, Dr. Jasur Salikhov, highlighted that for modern public leaders, the ability to think analytically, systematically process information, leverage artificial intelligence technologies, and develop rapid, evidence-based solutions in crisis situations has become an essential competency.

Within the framework of the seminar-training, participants are strengthening their expertise in the following areas:

  • modern approaches to organizing analytical activities in public administration;
  • strategic analysis of economic and social processes;
  • practical application of artificial intelligence technologies;
  • improvement of decision-making mechanisms in crisis management.

The program is being conducted with the participation of leading think tanks, distinguished experts, and experienced practitioners. As a result, participants will acquire practical skills in strategic analysis, data-driven evaluation, performance measurement, and the implementation of an innovative governance culture, while also enhancing their soft skills — communication, leadership, and strategic decision-making.
