Today, at the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, short-term training courses organized for talented and promising women working in the system of the Ministry of Sports were successfully completed.
The event was attended by the Minister of Sports, Adkham Ikramov, and the Rector of the Academy, Jasur Salikhov, who awarded certificates to the participants who successfully completed the program.
This program is being implemented in order to ensure the execution of the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 95, dated June 19, 2025. In accordance with the Decree, it is planned to increase the share of women in the civil service to 40 percent by 2030, to provide targeted preparation of women for senior leadership positions, and to expand their representation in the national personnel reserve.
It should be noted that within the framework of the program, 140 candidates were selected from among more than 18,000 women employees of the Ministry of Sports system. Based on the results of entrance tests and interviews, 30 of them were enrolled in short-term training courses at the Academy.
