From 5 to 12 July, representatives of the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the international training programme "Policy School on Water Resources Management", organized within the framework of the European Union's BRIDGE 5+1 Project and hosted by Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy. The Academy was represented by Associate Professor Davron Bekchanov, Chief Research Fellow of the Graduate School of Education and Research Alijon Oripov, and Master's student Alisher Baymirazev.
The international seminar-training programme was aimed at enhancing participants' knowledge of contemporary policy, legal, and technical approaches to the effective management of water resources, ensuring drinking water safety, strengthening the resilience of water supply systems under the conditions of climate change, and reinforcing the interrelationship between water management and public health.
Throughout the programme, participants attended lectures and practical sessions covering international standards in water resources management, the European Union's water policy framework, drinking water quality and safety, water safety planning, digitalization of the water sector, as well as modern technologies for water treatment and disinfection.
The training sessions were delivered by faculty members of Ca' Foscari University of Venice and experts from the Italian National Institute of Health.
