Seminar

The event was aimed at enhancing the effective organization of diplomatic missions’ activities overseas, ensuring the full and purposeful utilization of existing opportunities, and further strengthening managerial and leadership competencies.

During the two-day program, in line with the vision articulated by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, particular emphasis was placed on the evolving role of ambassadors in the contemporary international environment. It was underlined that today an ambassador is not merely a representative engaged in political dialogue, but also a key state actor responsible for attracting foreign investment and advanced technologies, opening new export markets, activating transport and logistics corridors, expanding tourism flows, creating conditions for orderly and legal labor migration, and, most importantly, safeguarding the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of Uzbekistan abroad.

Special attention during the training was devoted to enhancing participants’ knowledge and practical skills in the following priority areas:

- the implementation of an open and pragmatic foreign policy;

- the modern, multidimensional, and expanding role of the ambassador;

- economic diplomacy, including investment attraction, export development, and international project promotion;

- logistics and transit diplomacy, with a focus on transport corridor development;

- the role of compatriots in advancing Uzbekistan’s national interests on the international stage;

- strengthening cooperation between mahallas and diplomatic missions in protecting the rights and interests of citizens temporarily working abroad, alongside analytical discussions and experience-sharing sessions.

At the conclusion of the seminar, a group of diplomats was awarded the “Pride of the Mahalla” badge in recognition of their active promotion of the mahalla institution at the international level and their effective cooperation with the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan.
