As part of the programme, Academician Urkhan Alakbarov introduced the academy’s faculty members and shared Azerbaijan’s experience in implementing innovative public governance technologies, advancing digital transformation, and evaluating the effectiveness of public administration processes.
Participants highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s achievements in modernising public administration, developing human capital, and preparing a new generation of public sector leaders. Particular attention was given to the importance of training professionals capable of designing and implementing strategic public policy decisions, which was highlighted as a key area of bilateral cooperation.
The internship programme reflects the Academy’s systematic efforts to prepare public servants and learners through exposure to international best practices. Opportunities created by the Academy for internships at leading foreign educational and public administration institutions contribute to strengthening professional competencies, studying advanced governance models, and enhancing international cooperation.
The meetings, seminars, and expert discussions held during the visit are expected to further expand academic and professional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, facilitate the exchange of experience, and support the implementation of joint initiatives in the field of public governance.
