The conference was organized in cooperation with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event featured speeches by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Chairperson of the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs Zulaykho Makhkamova, Chairperson of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Islamov, Director of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mansur Olloyorov, and Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldoshev.
The conference emphasized the importance of reforms carried out in recent years to protect the rights and interests of women and children, prevent violence, and align national legislation with international standards, including the significance of the Law “On Protecting Children from All Forms of Violence.”
Discussions also addressed the improvement of the system of protection orders, offender correction programs, social service standards, and the strengthening of sanctions.
Participants exchanged views and developed concrete proposals aimed at preventing offenses related to domestic and sexual violence and ensuring reliable protection of children’s rights.
