A spiritual and educational event titled “Centennial Dedication to the Prosperity of the Nation and the State” was held at The Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the life and scholarly activity of Academician, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor and distinguished public figure Okil Umurzakovich Salimov.

The event was organised to strengthen the traditions of scholarship, promote the further development of national science, and foster respect for scientific and intellectual heritage among the younger generation. Representatives of government institutions, higher education institutions, research organisations and the public, as well as the Academy’s master’s students and trainees, took part in the event.

Opening the event, the Rector of the Academy Jasur Salikhov noted that the life and professional path of Okil Umurzakovich Salimov represents a vivid example of the harmony between science, public service and responsibility. It was emphasised that the scholar’s many years of scientific research, pedagogical activity and service within the public administration system have made a significant contribution to strengthening the country’s scientific potential and training highly qualified specialists.

During the event, a video dedicated to the academician’s life and scientific achievements was presented.

In addition, Okil Umurzakovich Salimov was ceremonially awarded the title of Honorary Professor of The Academy of Public Policy and Administration.

Speakers highlighted that the academician’s scientific legacy serves as an important intellectual foundation not only for the development of national science but also for the training of professionals for the modern system of public administration.

At the conclusion of the event, it was emphasised that the Academy will continue its consistent efforts in training public administration professionals, developing scientific and analytical research, and preserving intellectual heritage for future generations.
